Bricktown Brewery at Remington Park
Imagine enjoying a delicious meal while watching exhilarating horse races – that’s the unique experience awaiting you at Bricktown Brewery at Remington Park. While we missed the live races during our visit, the vibrant atmosphere and exceptional food still made for a memorable outing. The menu boasts a fantastic variety, featuring tempting appetizers like crispy fried okra and innovative mains such as green chili and chicken mac and cheese, alongside surprisingly addictive sea salt caramel fries. We opted for the classic grilled cheese and tomato soup, and it was a perfectly executed, comforting delight. Our server highly recommended the sizzling apple crisp, citing its immense popularity, and we were incredibly glad we indulged. Its warm, spiced apple filling and crispy topping were a perfect end to the meal. For a truly unique sweet and salty treat, you must try their smores pretzels. Please note that guests must be 18 or older to enter this location due to its setting within Remington Park.

Automobile Alley Restaurants
Automobile Alley, once the heart of OKC’s car dealerships, has transformed into a trendy district known for its stylish boutiques, unique shops, and, of course, a fantastic selection of eateries. It’s a charming area for a stroll and a bite.

Hideaway Pizza
Hideaway Pizza holds a special place in my heart, having first discovered its delicious offerings in Stillwater, OK. My excitement was palpable when I spotted its familiar sign in Automobile Alley, promising another delightful pizza experience. To kick off your meal, I highly recommend the 50/50 appetizer, a perfect combination of golden-fried mushrooms and gooey fried mozzarella sticks. If you’re dining with a group that has diverse pizza preferences, “The Hideaway Special” is a brilliant choice, featuring their signature Hideaway Red Sauce, Mozzarella, and a different topping on each slice – guaranteeing something for everyone. Hideaway Pizza’s popularity extends beyond Automobile Alley, with additional locations in Edmond, Moore, on West Memorial Road in OKC, and on Western Avenue, making it a beloved local chain.

Arts District OKC Restaurants
The Arts District, also known as Film Row, is a creative hub pulsating with galleries, studios, and performance venues. Its culinary scene is equally inventive, offering establishments that are as aesthetically pleasing as their menus are delicious.

The Jones Assembly
Stepping into The Jones Assembly is an experience in itself. Housed in a former Model T storage area, the restaurant beautifully merges industrial aesthetics with a nostalgic, retro vibe, complete with 80s movies playing on the big screen. The atmosphere is undeniably cool and inviting. The menu, described as “refined regional cuisine,” masterfully elevates Southern comfort food with a distinct Oklahoma twist. We began our meal with their exquisite scratch biscuits, served with honey butter – they were incredibly fluffy and melted in your mouth. The cocktail menu is equally inspired and truly delicious. For a sophisticated choice, the Dagwell Dixie is their unique take on an old fashion, featuring roasted pecan-infused George Dickel rye, Laird’s applejack, simple syrup, hella orange bitters, and Jerry Thomas own decanter bitters. If you prefer something sweeter, the I Love You Gelato cocktail, with olmeca alton reposado tequila, limoncello, Aperol, lime, fluffy orange juice, lemon curd, and pressed lemon oil, is a delightful treat. Their wood-fired pizzas are beyond exceptional. My Margherita pizza tasted authentically Italian, with fresh tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, fragrant basil, and Grana Padano cheese blending into a harmonious masterpiece. For those who enjoy a kick, the Hot Rod pizza delivers with habanero pork sausage, pepperoni, mozzarella, caramelized onions, jalapeño, spicy chicharrones, and a hot honey drizzle. Though we were too full for dessert, the offerings looked absolutely divine. For a more intimate, speakeasy atmosphere, venture upstairs to The T Room. The Jones Assembly also hosts live music concerts, so be sure to check their social media for upcoming events.

This charming, cozy coffee and macaron shop offers the perfect setting for a relaxed afternoon escape. I cannot recommend their Crème Brûlée macaron enough – it’s a masterpiece, perfectly torched with a vanilla bean buttercream and a luscious caramel center. Beyond individual treats, Cafe Disco can create stunning macaron towers, offering anything from a single macaron to impressive displays of up to 220, making it ideal for special occasions or just a delightful indulgence.

The Chihuly exhibit is undoubtedly one of the top attractions in OKC and a truly unforgettable experience. Vast
Perched an astonishing 726 feet above street level, Vast offers an unparalleled dining experience with truly breathtaking panoramic views of Oklahoma City and its vast surroundings. From this elevation, it genuinely feels as though you can gaze endlessly across the Oklahoma landscape. We thoroughly enjoyed their lunch service, which features an upscale buffet known as “The Daily Table.” The menu thoughtfully rotates each week, ensuring fresh variety, and typically includes two types of expertly carved meats at the stations, a delectable fish dish, a bountiful salad bar, and an array of decadent desserts. It’s truly astonishing that this luxurious lunch experience is priced at just $19.95 per person. The stunning view alone is worth the cost, let alone the opportunity to savor such high-quality food in a sophisticated atmosphere. Vast stands out as an incredibly romantic restaurant in OKC, ideal for a memorable date night or a special event. They even offer small, elegant private dining rooms perfect for intimate celebrations, and we’ve heard whispers that many proposals have taken place in these exclusive settings. Flint is gracefully situated within the historic Colcord Hotel in the heart of the City Center, offering an elegant dining experience. We were fortunate enough to enjoy an incredible breakfast at Flint, and it certainly set a high bar for the day. I particularly savored the Frint breakfast biscuit, perfectly complemented by a side of bourbon candied sweet potatoes. Seriously, these sweet potatoes alone are reason enough to plan a visit! My dining companion enjoyed the eggs benedict, which looked absolutely divine, confirming Flint’s reputation for elevated breakfast and brunch options.

Waffle Champion
Before my trip to OKC, the buzz around Waffle Champion was undeniable; it was consistently hailed as a must-visit, with warnings about long lines if you didn’t arrive early. With such high expectations, I approached with a healthy dose of skepticism, wondering if it could truly live up to the hype. I’m thrilled to report that Waffle Champion not only met but exceeded every expectation – the food was absolutely incredible! I opted for the cinnamon roll liege waffle, served with a side of pecan crumble. It struck the perfect balance of sweetness without being overly rich, a truly delightful treat. For my next visit, I’m already planning to try the Waffle French Toast, featuring cinnamon cream cheese syrup and fresh strawberries – it sounds like pure heaven!

We decided to explore “Oh Baby!” and were delighted by their epic Dutch babies. The Shakshuka Dutch Baby, with its rich blend of tomato, bell pepper, onion, and savory seasonings, transported me back to the flavors of Israel – a dish you absolutely shouldn’t miss. For a sweet treat, the Strawberry and Cream Dutch Baby is simply irresistible: macerated fresh strawberries served over a luscious vanilla pastry cream, dusted with powdered sugar, and crowned with whipped cream and a delicate mint leaf. “Oh Baby!” also features inventive options like the BBQ Pulled Pork Dutch Baby and the tempting Banana Fosters Dutch Baby, among others. Oso on Paseo
If you’re seeking a restaurant that combines delightfully fruity tiki cocktails with an inventive twist, a captivating atmosphere, and truly incredible food, then Oso on Paseo is your destination. You absolutely cannot go wrong with the Miami Vice cocktail, famously served with an adorable banana dolphin perched on the side of the glass – yes, a banana dolphin! For an even more exotic presentation, the Montezuma Cocktail arrives in a hollowed-out pineapple, a tropical blend of orange and lemon juices, dark rum, white tequila, simple syrup, and a splash of grenadine. I indulged in the Tater Tots, a sublime dish featuring goat cheese, cheddar-jack, a creamy avocado crema, and a sunny-side-up egg. While you can opt to add red chili butter and bacon, I found them perfectly satisfying without. This dish, listed as a shareable, was so utterly delicious that I happily made it my entire dinner. Oso also allows you to customize your meal by ordering individual street tacos by type and quantity. For a sweet conclusion, do not miss their churros, served with a rich chocolate sauce and cool vanilla soft-serve ice cream. We enjoyed a truly incredible lunch here, so substantial and satisfying that we ended up skipping dinner altogether! The restaurant exudes a casual yet fun vibe, making it the perfect spot to gather with friends and unwind over fantastic food and expertly crafted cocktails. Their menu is described as “Southwestern Comfort Food with an Oklahoma twist,” a concept they execute brilliantly. You absolutely cannot leave without trying the sweet potato fritters! These golden-fried sweet potato balls, generously topped with a cinnamon icing and a dusting of powdered sugar, taste like Thanksgiving in a bowl – they are incredibly delicious! We shared an order, and it was more than enough for two. A great benefit of visiting for lunch is the ability to also enjoy their extensive brunch menu. My friend Amy from MomSpark raved about the Chilaquiles with pork belly bacon – a truly indulgent dish featuring tortilla chips topped with vibrant red chili sauce, zesty green chili sauce, gooey jack cheese, fresh avocados, and a perfectly over-easy egg. The Mule
The Mule is a local favorite renowned for its simple yet satisfying philosophy: cold beer and hot melts. This establishment flawlessly combines two of my absolute favorite things: gourmet grilled cheese and irresistible cheese curds! Seriously, just look at the impressive size of those cheese curds! They are Watonga Cheese Curds, expertly beer-battered and fried to golden perfection, served with a side of rich marinara and, of course, a generous serving of ranch dressing. Because as you’ll quickly discover in OKC, ranch often accompanies everything! Their classic grilled cheese sandwiches are equally phenomenal, served with a comforting tomato soup for dipping and, naturally, more ranch. Beyond the delicious food, The Mule also boasts what might be the coolest to-go cup I’ve seen in a long time – their “Don’t Be a Jackass” cup. It’s a fun souvenir that will surely bring a smile to your face, reminding you of the good times in OKC.
