How could you resist a restaurant whose entrance features authentic old-west six-shooters as door handles? This unique detail sets the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey.
The menu at Horse Heaven Saloon is remarkably diverse, catering to all tastes. From adventurous appetizers like “Glutton for Gizzards” to comforting classics such as their Beer-Baked Mac and Cheese, every dish is prepared with a touch of local flair. Our dining experience here was undoubtedly one of our absolute favorite things to do in Prosser. The ambiance, combined with the delicious and creatively presented food, makes it a standout. We would happily make the two-hour drive back to Prosser just to enjoy another meal at the Horse Heaven Saloon! It’s a truly iconic establishment that perfectly blends hearty American fare with a distinct Western charm.

Jeremy’s 1896 Public House: A Historic Setting with Mixed Reviews
Jeremy’s 1896 Public House is steeped in local history, housed within the original residence of Mr. E.W.R. Taylor, Prosser’s first mayor and one of the town’s earliest homes. This pub-style restaurant offers a unique opportunity to dine in a beautifully preserved historical building. However, our experience here left us with mixed feelings, and we believe it’s important to provide an honest perspective.
During our visit, we unfortunately had a very disappointing dinner; the food quality was such that we couldn’t finish our meals. Upon discussing this with the wonderfully helpful staff at our hotel, we learned that such “hit-or-miss” dining experiences at Jeremy’s are not uncommon. Some days, the restaurant reportedly serves amazing food, while on other occasions, like ours, the quality can be quite poor. Interestingly, we had initially been recommended Jeremy’s by a friend who had a fantastic time there, highlighting the inconsistency.
We share this feedback so you can be prepared if you choose to visit Jeremy’s 1896 Public House. While the historic setting is captivating, be aware that the culinary experience can vary. It might be worth a try for its unique ambiance and historical significance, but it’s advisable to manage expectations regarding the food.

This beloved company has been delighting palates for over thirty years, crafting cherry treats that are nothing short of legendary. Once you taste their products, you’ll understand why they are so craveable, prompting many, including us, to mail them to friends and family worldwide!

Step into their inviting store, where you can browse an extensive array of their products, from perfectly dried cherries to decadent chocolate-covered varieties, cherry sauces, jams, and even thoughtful gift baskets. Best of all, you’ll have the chance to sample a few treats, ensuring you find your new favorite cherry delight. We were genuinely disappointed to miss the Prosser Farmers Market during our trip, as all the pictures we’ve seen make it look absolutely incredible! This vibrant community hub is held every Saturday from May through October, welcoming visitors from 8 AM to noon. It’s an ideal place to immerse yourself in local culture, pick up fresh, seasonal produce, discover artisan crafts, and enjoy baked goods from local vendors. If your visit aligns with a Saturday, make sure to experience the lively atmosphere and support Prosser’s local farmers and makers.
Cultural Enrichment at the Princess Theatre
The Princess Theatre is a cherished landmark in Downtown Prosser, serving as a vital community art, culture, and events center. Park hours vary seasonally: from March through October, they are open from 7 AM to 10 PM.
